Welcome to my weblog. I am starting this because I need to practice presenting my worldview to others and because I enjoy the opportunity to learn why people think what they think. I hope that my articles inspire creative responses and debates from those with a variety of viewpoints.
I am a conservative, born again, Independent Baptist. I tend to identify with the Republican Party, although the party is really more liberal than I. I am married, I have four children and one grandson, and believe it or not, I am a Table Games Dealer at a local casino.
I would like to present a few of my core beliefs, to better paint the picture of myself.
If you don’t work, you don’t eat. Unless, of course, by the grace of God someone voluntarily offers you charity.
Individuals do not have the right to take a life, unless it is totally unavoidable in self defense.
Life begins at conception.
If I can’t tell people to practice my “religion”, then people can’t tell me that I can’t practice my “religion”.
If people aren’t willing to fight for this country, they should leave.
Big government means big problems.
Responsible capitalism is what makes a country prosper.
No one has the “right” to healthcare.
Illegal immigration is just that, illegal.
The breakdown of the family unit is the foundational breakdown of our society.
Marriage is a religious institution, so if you don’t believe it is one man-one woman before God, you shouldn’t get married.
Education is best given at home, not in public group settings.
I cannot believe that an individual’s religious beliefs and his worldview are separable, and therefore I believe they effect every decision that individual ever makes.
Well, that about sums me up. If you have any suggestions of a theme or themes you would like to discuss on this blog, please post them on this page. Comments related to articles I have already posted should be made on the particular article’s page. I am looking forward to great discussions with everyone.
God Bless,
