How To Get To Heaven

If you were to get hit by a car and die today, do you know if you would go to Heaven?  God has told us the answer.  He wrote in His book, the Bible, exactly how to know that you are going to Heaven.  There are some things you must know first:

  • For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one (Romans 3:10-12).
  • Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).
  • Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death (James 1:15).
  • For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
  • And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15).

If you can admit that you are a sinner, you must die for your sin, and you must suffer in Hell for your sin, then should know this:

  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
  • The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee (Jeremiah 31:3).
  • For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:6-8).
  • Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (1Peter 2:24).
  • And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house (Acts 16:31).
  • But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness (Romans 4:5).

God loves you!  Christ died for you, He took your place.  If you trust (believe) Him right now, He will save you!  If you believe this, then also know this:

  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).
  • And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed (John 20:28-29).
  • Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.   For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

If you will commit to Him right now, commit yourself to Christ as Lord and Master of your life, and commit your soul to Him for salvation on the basis of what He did for you in His death, burial and resurrection, then God says you are saved right now and forever!

  • He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God (1 John 5:12-13).
  • For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day (1 Timothy 1:12).

If you have just accepted Christ as your Savior, the angels in Heaven are singing Hallelujah right now.   There is no greater decision you can make, than the decision regarding the fate of your eternal soul.  Praise God!

If you would like to leave a message telling the world of your decision to follow Christ, we would love to hear from you.  If you have honest questions, we would love to use the Bible to answer those questions.  If we cannot find the answer, we will find someone who will.  If you just would like to post your opinion of anything on this page, please don’t.  That is not the purpose of this weblog.  I promise I won’t go to your weblog and post anything negative about your faith or your attempts to explain it to others.

God bless you.
